Mission Statement

Criminal Defense 101 2017

So you have gotten the law degree and passed the bar. Now you are eager to fight for liberty and justice defending people charged with crimes here in South Carolina. However, before an actual person puts their life in your hands, you would like to have an idea what you are doing. This CLE is for you.

In a program designed to take you through the basics of criminal defense in South Carolina, you will get practical, real-world advice and instruction from some of South Carolina’s most experienced members of the criminal defense bar and the bench. On top of that, your registration includes an initial membership in the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (SCACDL). With a membership of over 400 criminal defense lawyers, SCACDL will prove to be one of your most valuable tools as you build your criminal defense practice.
