Nomination Guidelines
To ensure the uniformity and the completeness of the nomination packet, the packet should include:
This form should be the first page of the packet. Self-nomination is allowed. If you are nominating yourself, simply note “self-nomination” on the line for the nominator.
The packet should include a resume or document that describes the candidate’s background. Information that would be helpful includes principal areas of practice, number of years practicing law, educational background, any significant courtroom experiences, and community activities.
Using no more than three pages, explain how the candidate would benefit from the Henry “Hank” Anderson Scholarship. This may include financial need, past or future attendance at CLEs, and proposed course of study.
The packet must include at least 1 letter of support from another individual and/or organization that is familiar with the candidate and how the candidate would benefit from the scholarship. The packet may include no more than 5 letters of support for the candidate.
Nominations and supporting materials should be on 8 1/2 x 11 paper. Please send an original and electronic copy of each nomination and supporting materials.
Selection Process
The Scholarship and Grants Committee will review the nominations and recommend a scholarship recipient to the Board for approval. The scholarship recipient will be notified no later than November 14, 2025. All decisions will be final and binding. In order to protect the integrity of the scholarship, the Committee reserves the right not to present the scholarship if it finds that none of the nominations received meets the criteria.
Deadline
All nominations must be RECEIVED no later than Friday, October 24, 2025. NO EXTENSIONS WILL BE GRANTED.
