The James H. “Chip” Price III Scholarship enabled me to attend a variety of South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers trainings while alleviating the cost of attendance. Each training was very practical, informative, and enjoyable.As a new member of the South Carolina defense bar, learning about a variety of important legal topics from experienced defense attorneys across the state was an invaluable opportunity. I left each training with practical knowledge and new advocacy tools to utilize to my own cases. I also enjoyed meeting seasoned defenders across the state and making new connections in our criminal defense community.The scholarship and trainings provided me with unique opportunities to learn and grow as a Pubic Defender. I am thankful to be a part of the special community the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers fosters.
